TLDR of what I'm about to type Aside from the issues with getting the game to work (which I understand completely, games from EA are not fun to get to work), I think either the Dead Space franchise isn't for you, or they're an instance of 'the game isn't badly made, you're just not putting in enough effort in beating it'.
